Story of Ganesh Desale of Kalyan -> Bholenath and Bharati Desale of Kalyan, a couple in their mid-50s believed that their son Ganesh Desale had a spark of ambition from his very childhood. Earning their living as an autorickshaw driver and a housemaid, the Desale couple had resigned to the fate of living in a one-room kitchen sharing a community restroom and waking up in the wee hours in the morning to get the day’s water supply.
Their son Ganesh however had other plans. Working as a hospital ward boy from his teen years, he had set himself a goal of getting a roof over their head to call their own, before he even thought of getting married. When alliances started coming his way at age 23, he decided to make good on his ambition.
His decade-long experience in the hospital came in handy during the peak of the pandemic in 2020. Working late night and early morning shifts worked out well for Ganesh, and he began earning an additional ₹20,000 per month over his regular salary of ₹22,000. However, he was not confident of applying for a home loan by himself as he had heard of his applications’ peers getting rejected by big banks.
It was around this time, that he was introduced to Agrim Housing Finance through a builder where he wished to purchase his first property. What initially drew him in was the easy process of applying for a home loan over the Agrim Housing Finance mobile app, where he could add details of his parents as co-applicants.
Agrim HFC took into consideration the household income of ₹50,000 per month in lieu of the individual credit assessment of Ganesh Desale alone. The DeSales also had a good credit score as they had repaid their autorickshaw loan without a single default between 2015-2018. This worked in their favour and the Desales’ home loan was sanctioned within a week of their application.
The Desales’ are now proud owners of a one-bedroom hall kitchen in Kalyan and have 24-hour water supply and facilities with the latest attachments.
